“I always find motivation in this job, just because I love what I am doing, it fulfills me” Rose said on an interview today, November 11, 2019.
Rose Ann Dumlao is a 23 year-old Administrative Assistant in Lewis Glanz Consulting. She is a graduate of Bachelor of Elementary Education in the province of Abra. Rose has been working in LGC for almost 1 year and 5 months now.
She is a typical shy girl of Abra back in her college days. One day, a friend of Miss Sarah Juan, who is her church mate, approach her after their mass service if she would like to have a job right after college. Rose we’re in shock and completely flattered because she already have a job offer even if she is still studying, waiting for their graduation. She went here in Manila for the interview, luckily, the day of her interview was also the day of hiring for her. That is how she entered Lewis Glanz Consulting as an Administrative Assistant.
Being a graduate of BS Education, Rose expected that she will be a teacher. For her, being an administrative assistant is also like being a teacher.
“madami din akong paper works, deadlines, and minsan nag-aassist sa mga employees” Rose said.
What she usually does in her job are bills payment, inventory of office supplies, inquiries, even payroll assisting and more. Having these work loads, she sometimes experience difficulties in handling her time. But what keeps her motivated is the people in her environment and by being positive in every situation.
“Lagi kong sinasabi sa sarili ko na kaya ko ‘to, tapos ngingiti lang ako, nakakagaan kasi sa pakiramdam” -Rose. Rose always makes sure that she takes everything at a time.
Looking back to who she was before, she is confident that LGC changed her to a better person.
Few advices from Rose Ann to all the aspiring administrative assistants out there is to have a good communication skills, patience and most importantly, time management. These are just some values that she learned from her job.
